It would be interesting to find out if there were any hidden economic interests that prompted the grant reviewers for the NJ Stem Cell bill to award 94% of the $5 million dollar NJ stem cell bill funding to adult stem cell research and non-human embryonic stem cell research. This bill had been widely hailed as the first in the US to fund ESCR, yet just one project of $300,000 actually went to hESCR.
