Marcy Feit, a member of the governing
board of the $3 billion California stem cell agency, this week
suddenly resigned as CEO of ValleyCare Health Systems in Pleasanton,
Ca., a position she had held since 1997.
Feit has served on the stem cell board since 2005. She was one of the few minority women to head a California
health care system.
Some members of the stem cell board
serve as a result of their professional capacity. In the case of
Feit, she is a patient advocate member. It is unclear how her
resignation might affect her continued service on the board.
Feit's resignation was first reported by Jeb Bing of the Pleasanton Weekly.
